NAR/Tripoli Junior L1 Certification FAQ.
1. *Guidelines*: It's crucial that all students, mentors, parents, and guardians fully understand the guidelines available on the NAR or Tripoli websites regarding junior L1.

2. *Mentorship Ratio*: Ideally, MDRA recommends one mentor per each student. In the cases of a school system sponsoring a program, a maximum of 2 to perhaps 3 students per mentor will work.
3. *Exam Requirement*: Each student must pass the Jr L1 exam and bring proof it was passed. (Certificate of completion from NAR or Tripoli).
4. *Certification Form*: Each student needs to complete the MDRA online certification form. Provide as much detail as possible. The earlier this form is filled out the easier and quicker we can address issues.
5. Each individual student must build their own rocket.
6. The students and mentor(s) all need to be NAR or Tripoli members and the flyer of record need to be at least L1 certified.
7. The flyer of record needs to be an MDRA member and pay appropriate flight fees.
8. The max altitude MDRA allows for a single deploy rocket (chute at apogee) is 2000ft. Please ensure that the rocket/motor combo for all students is well under that limit. We recommend a 4” kit to meet that requirement.
9. MDRA has been experiencing a very high volume of certification requests at each launch. We have no guarantee we can accommodate all requests on any given launch day. Please plan accordingly by arriving early, have patience, and flexibility if the cert flight needs to be rescheduled.
